Approach

Background
I am a graphic designer based in Leicester, UK.
I have worked as a freelance and employed designer for over 15 years on a variety of projects with some fabulous clients.
I have a small, dedicated studio space within my family home and I primarily work remotely where possible.
Software & workflow thoughts
I use Adobe Creative Suite for the majority of design projects - a blended combination of Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Recently, I have started experimenting with After Effects for logo animation and Figma for layout design and prototyping, think these are really exciting pieces of software that I am enjoying getting to grips with. I've also just swapped from Mailchimp to EmailOctopus for email marketing campaigns.
Working remotely does require a fair amount of screen calls with team members, Discord has been a favourite of mine for a while now and has reasonably straightforward screen sharing capability for collaborative discussion.

I've found Togl a super way to organise and time keep for projects and Trello is my go-to for project scheduling and organisation of tasks.

Client collaboration
I've found there is an increasing call for more client control over on-screen collateral such as Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and Word templates, this sees me creating bespoke branded and editable templates which are both easy to update and refresh from the client side, whilst still allowing for creativity within brand guidelines.
